How Does Hypnotherapy Work?

Patients, in this state, are more apt to follow instructions, also called hypnotic suggestions, because of increased openness and heightened level of concentration.

What to Expect Your First Session?

You will spend the first 10-20 minutes discussing your history and what you would like to work on with your therapist. Your therapist will then help your enter an altered state of consciousness by giving you relaxing verbal suggestions. Patients describe the experience as similar to being absorbed in a good book or movie. You will feel relaxed and calm.
